The CBP Office of Field Operations (OFO) and the El Paso Field Office (EPFO) will be honoring the passing of Customs and Border Protection Canine Enforcement Officer (CEO) Troy A. Adkins. The passing of CEO Adkins is pending classification as a possible Line-of-Duty death, as he passed away on December 31, 2020, from complications resulting from COVID-19.
Prior to joining CBP, CEO Adkins used to work with the El Paso Fire Department at Station 6 as a Fire Suppression Technician from approximately 1997-2007.
The EPFO is coordinating and will hold the Ceremonial Honors for CEO Adkins on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, at the Bridge of The Americas Border Crossing (commercial lot) beginning at 1500 hours and everyone in the EPFD is invited to attend.
The EPFO is working with CEO Adkins’ family to honor his life.
