Extreme Weather Task Force and Blanket Drive Kick off

This week the Extreme Weather Task Force had a press conference to warn the citizen of El Paso and the southwest region to be on the lookout for the winter season. It also announces the beginning of the winter blanket collection campaign.

Be on the lookout for the Elderly and needy Families who are at-risk for the cold weather-related illness and death.

As always the El Paso Fire Department will be accepting Blankets at each of its fire stations. Remember we can use the used blankets as well for our furry friends in Animal Services. If you receive blankets at the station simply send an email to aguilardex@elpasotexas.gov and/or plscruggs@elpasotexas.gov and someone from the EWTF will pick them up asap.
