Safety Stand Down 2019

This week, the El Paso Fire Department participated in the National Safety Stand Down.

The Safety Stand Down highlights critical safety, health, and survival issues for the fire and emergency services. The EPFD took the week of June 16-22 to focus their attention on safety and health education and training.

This year’s theme was REDUCE YOUR EXPOSURE: IT’S EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY.

Cancer is one of the most serious threats facing firefighters and, as you know, there are specific actions you can take to lessen the risks to yourself and your crew. Review this year’s Lavender Ribbon Report to learn more about actions that help you mitigate the risk of cancer due to exposure.
