Chief Rodriguez Retires

After 32 years of service, Assistant Chief Samuel Rodriguez has announced his retirement from the El Paso Fire Department.

Last week, a retirement celebration was done to wish the Chief good luck in his retirement. Chief Rodriguez and several members of the Department shared some of the stories about their service together.

Chief Rodriguez received several parting gifts, including a decorative thin-red-line flag, a Retirement Survival Kit, and a custom made firefighter ax.

We wish the Chief the best of lucks on his retirement and we want to thank him for being such an outstanding leader and a mentor. Thank you, Chief!

Chief Rodriguez’s last day will be July the 3rd. He will be celebrating the 4th of July as America’s Independence Day, and his own independence from work.
