Passing of Retired Lt. Charles W. Cook

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Retired Lt. Charles W. “Charlie” Cook. He died peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2018, at the age of 84.
Charles W. Cook was born on August 14, 1933. After serving in the U.S. Army, he graduated from the EPFD Training Academy in 1960. He retired the Department as a Lieutenant in 1988.

A talented singer and guitar player in his local band, Charlie Cook and the Country Cavaliers, he is remembered for his love of Country and Bluegrass Music. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Restoration Fellowship, 10200 Album, El Paso, Texas, with graveside at Ft. Bliss at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2018. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lt. Cook’s life.
In place of flowers, the family has requested, to instead send donations to Kemarah’s Chasing Rainbows, a local charity, at 3005 Kilkenny Rd., El Paso, Texas 79925. Condolences can be sent to www.sunsetfuneralhomes.net
