Station 31 Firefighters demonstrate CPR

0C2A657331’s personnel got to show off their talents by demonstrating CPR techniques to Hilary Floren from channel 7 morning news.

CPR stands for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. If a person stops breathing, or the heart stops beating effectively, this lifesaving technique is used to restore oxygenated blood flow to the vital organs.

If you have not received CPR training. There are two steps involved:

  1. Dail 911 to alert emergency response to your location.
  2. Find the center of the chest and push hard and fast 100 to 120 beats per minute until help arrives.
